First Battle of Vetret (TE 343)

Imperial forces faced an overwhelming Patalanian attack force. At a crucial point in the battle, the Imperial Navy started to fall back, apparently abandoning Vetret. When Imperial forces had moved back eighty parsecs, they stopped and waited as Patalanian forces began to garrison Vetret and surrounding settlements.

Only then did an Imperial Supercruiser surface from Vetret's deepest ocean trench, and throw off the surprised Patalanians. The Empire carried the day.
