The Za Personality sprang up spontaneously in the year 14,680
H.E., and reached emotional and mental maturity around 14,700
H.E. Being developed in a purely mental fashion, it was bisexual
and frequently switched genders with each reincarnation. Thus,
the Z-group is the only five-member clone group . . . with one
member considerably younger than the others.
In 14,704, an Act of Council made Za Hoister a legal individual, and the Za Personality was given a body. Every once in a while the Za Personality refuses reincarnation for a time and lives for decades as it originally lived, as a creature of pure mentality in its clones' minds.
The S-group did an intensive study of the Za Personality shortly after its appearance, but it remains an unexplained phenomenon of clne group psychology. To date, no other clone group has developed an extra personality analogous to the Za.
