These are nonsapient, but respond to mental activity by producing a telepathic echo that the mind apprehends as a gentle, distant whisper. Early Dorascan explorers were so enchanted by the world that they placed it under protection, a protection which the Galactic Riders continued after the fall of the Dorascan Empire.
